Tax Debt Settlement

I am an ex-wife, divorced from a man who is making six figures per year. Working his way up, during our 14 years of marriage. I am now making $12.70 per hour, but did not find a permanent full-time job for a year into the divorce. I owe taxes on maintenance money paid to me and was unable to pay to all I owed. I can barely make ends meet, but make too much on paper to receive any Government help. I have one teenage young man home with me full time. I have paid taxes all my life. Also had good credit once upon a time. ( I am now in a mobile home) and after nearly six years of divorce I cannot recover. NYS has emptied my bank accounts a few times without having their facts correct, which practically ruins one. I thought I was on a payment plan at one time until I discovered the hard way, that they froze everything only to find that there had been amendments made to my taxes. The killer is they took a payment every month and applied it to what year?
